More...Let’s start at the end: did you know that our singer/writer/keyboard player David Cooper, longtime Manhattan-then-Brooklyn resident, has pulled up his roots and replanted them in lovely Burlington, Vermont? We’re sorry to have him so far away but happy he’s found a great town conducive to great music and good living. Clare and Jack, still in Brooklyn and Katonah NY respectively. The challenge will be to create music together over such a long distance, and we’ll see how we pull it off, probably through a combination of getting together from time to time and sending bits over the internet to each other, which is really how we’ve worked together all along anyway. Still, we miss our regular in-person fix of David!
Meanwhile, we’re quite pleased with the full-page “Pro/File” article on 46bliss in the August 2008 issue of ‘Electronic Musician’ magazine. This is a magazine we’ve enjoyed for years, and seeing the little blue elf guy from the cover of CD "Wish Me Away" and complimentary words about the CD written up there is quite a kick. One quote: “The band’s shimmering production and often-processed instrumentation are employed in service of memorable tunes and artful lyrics”. And the indie music website TheDeliMagazine.com interviewed us by email a while back, and recently published both the interview and a great review. “Sexy, chic and poignant, 46bliss threads intelligence and palpable emotions into a glossy sound.” About the song “You’re Not God”: “The track sounds like Garbage returning from their hiatus harder, better, faster and stronger.” Read the whole review here:

And now for some news in the making: after the great time we had listening to the 230+ remixes of our song “You’re Not God” at Sony’s Acidplanet.com (www.acidplanet.com/46bliss, we decided to reach out to several of the most brilliant remixers from the contest and elsewhere, asking them to remix other tracks from the “Wish Me Away” CD. The remixes are starting to come in, and the results are fantastic! We plan to post them online for you all to listen to, and possibly put several of them together into a release for CD Baby, iTunes etc. Watch out for more news on that front.
Just in: podcasters are blasting the song "Na Na Na" across the podwaves as wel speak. And don't forget you can find all our music at:
