ANTIGAMA is the unrestricted projection of noncomformistic attitude towards the avantgarde grindcore noise. The band was formed in the late 2000 in Warsaw by Sebastian Rokicki (Garden Of Worm) and Krzysztof Bentkowski (Sparagmos, Monev). They were joined by Lukasz Myszkowski (Sparagmos) and Macio Moretti (Starzy Singers) and started working intensively on their first album "Intellect Made Us Blind", released shortly after. Meanwhile, ANTIGAMA started to play shows regulary next to groups such as Tragedy, Toxic Bonkers, Fleas And Lice and many more.
In September 2001 they went on a short tour Grind Manifesto 2001 along with Poland’s Damnable and Italy’s Brainwash. In 2002 the bassman Macio left the band and Michal (Reinfection) took his place. With such line-up the band recorded a split CD with Jan Fredericx’s (Agathocles) project, Jan Ag. ANTIGAMA’s part was a set of covers of their native hardcore precursors, Siekiera. Shortly after, they went on Grind Manifesto Tour 2002, this time with Italy’s bands Nefas and Bastard Saints as well as Poland’s Pignation and Toxic Bonkers.
In January 2003 ANTIGAMA recorded "Promo 2003”, a sample of their upcoming material. The CD consisted of 3 new songs and a cover of "Anything is mine" by Godflesh that originally appeared on the Godflesh Tribute CD. In July 2003 ANTIGAMA put out the experimental material "East Clintwood", initially with the purpose to issue it at a split CD with Japan’s Deranged Insane. In August 2003 the band shut themselves in Selani Studio in Olsztyn to record their second full-length album "Discomfort" with the professional help of Szymon Czech. In September the band took part in the third edition of the Grind Manifesto 2003 Tour together with Poland’s Third Degree and Pignation. At the same time they accepted the idea of Italy’s electro/industiral band The Seed who wanted to remix the song "Fala" from "Intellect Made Us Blind". The track remained unreleased until 2005.
The band started the year 2004 with some shows and headlining the Ten Day Grindcore Massacre Tour together with Deformed. In April 2004 the band launched a split CD with Australia’s Open Wound on Antiself Records, Poland. Soon after their next album "Discomfort" came out and was followed by some surprisingly good reviews. In June ANTIGAMA recorded 6 new songs for the 3-way split CD with Third Degree and Herman Rarebell. The band got the invitation to play at the Obscene Extreme Festival 2004 in Czech Republic, the biggest extreme music festival in Europe.
2005 had been the crucial year in ANTIGAMA’s career. In March they recorded their third full album “Zeroland”. Then in April they re-released “Discomfort” via Selfmadegod Records where they included “Fala”. Shortly after the long-awaited 7” split shared with Italy’s Bastard Saints came out. In August Selfmadegod Records launched the vinyl 12” LP version of “Discomfort”. Then in early September ANTIGAMA played at the Giants Of Grind festival in Germany along with the bands like Mesrine, Deppression, Mastic Scum, Jigsore Terror, to name a few.
On November the 1st 2005 Selfmadegod Records put out the highly anticipated “Zeroland”, the third full-length album from ANTIGAMA. It received many positive reviews and opinions worldwide. In December 2005 ANTIGAMA had another recording session at Studio X that resulted in creating 3 new tracks for the upcoming “Slimewave Series” split 7” EP with Brazil’s Rot. In March 2006 the band played at the biggest Polish metalfest Metalmania in Katowice. In April 2006 ANTIGAMA went on tour to Germany along with Germany’s native Keitzer. Soon after the band signed the official recording agreement with Relapse Records, USA and started work on their new full-length album. In the meantime the band launched the long-awaited split CD with Deformed on Deformeathing where they put only one 12-minute long experimental track “Psicobambola”, uncovering a quite different, alternate side of their music face. The latest album “Resonance” was recorded in December 2006 at Studio X in Olsztyn with Szymom Czech as the sound engineer and producer. In March 2007 ANTIGAMA issued a 3’’ split CD with Drugs of Faith, USA through Selfmadegod Records with the 2 new tracks and their own interpretation of the horror classic “Zombi” by Goblin. Their Relapse debut, "Resonance" is in stores now.
