Over the past 4 years, Azygous has garnered a dedicated rapturous underground following in the Midwest, playing along side such acts as God Forbid, Between The Buried And Me, The Red Chord, Bleed The Sky, Misery Index, Byzantine, Macabre, Kataklysm, Estuary, Jackknife, My Ruin, Losa, Forever In Terror, Bobaflex, Cephalic Carnage, Black Market Hero and Beneath The Sky, to name a few. As a result of an incessant touring schedule and rigorous self promotion, the band has earned an impressive “word of mouth” advertising platform, which has resulted in a colossal discipleship around the U.S. and abroad. Throughout the course of their collaborative existence, the band, which is entirely self-sustaining and exclusively responsible for any and all promotions, bookings and recordings, has released multiple minor recordings. During the past year, it’s five members have focused all of their energy on writing and recording what they consider to be the group’s first official full-length release. In 2007, Azygous will commense touring to promote this maiden effort, their LP aptly titled “Whiskey Driven Hate Machine”. Due in large part to an established foundation of dedicated fans, CD sales have already begun to skyrocket, touring opportunities have abound, and the band expects to experience a significantly increasing success with the completion of their first LP. This, in turn, has left them anxiously looking forward to the release of their second full-length album, which is already in the works.
