This year the Disney Music Block Party Tour will also serve as the main attraction for the PLAYSKOOL's Play Aid Benefit Concert. This special stop along Disney's concert tour route is set to benefit four children's charities -- Give Kids the World, Boundless Playgrounds, Hole in the Wall Camps, and Play Pumps International -- each dedicated to improving the lives of children around the world by giving them an opportunity to play.
Barenaked Ladies are happy to announce their participation in the New York edition of this event on August 22-24 at Eisenhower Park in Long Island. The guys will be performing songs from SNACKTIME alongside additional artists, exhibits and activities.

Jul 14, 03:14 PMNew Music Video for “Pollywog In A Bog” Transforms Ladies to Puppets
Kevin Hearn as the possum, Steven Page as the owl, Ed Robertson as the flying squirrel, Tyler Stewart as the otter, and Jim and Andy Creeggan as the fox brothers? That’s the result of Barenaked Ladies teaming up with master puppeteer Noah Ginex—who once trained at the Jim Henson Company under Kevin Clash (Sesame Street’s Elmo)—to transform themselves into woodland creatures for their new “Pollywog In A Bog” video. Under the direction of J.P. Riley of Letter Blue Productions (Rachael Yamagata, The Verve Pipe, Queen Latifah), the Barenaked forest creatures throw an impromptu concert in the woods to tell the story of pollywog’s journey to becoming a frog.

BNL will perform “7 8 9” on Live! With Regis and Kelly on Wednesday, May 7 as part of a promotional tour they are doing around the release of Snacktime, which includes a series of in-store events where the band will perform and meet fans. The band will also be performing "7 8 9" on Canada AM on May 12.

For the first single "7 8 9" from their upcoming collection of original children's songs, Barenaked Ladies have collaborated with Emmy nominated animator Nancy Lennert (Blues Clues, Little Bill) in creating a fun western themed video. Snacktime
The Snacktime CD will be in stores on May 6 or you can pre-order from the band's site www.bnlmusic.com ;- $10 for a CD or $15 for a special deluxe edition CD with a book of song lyrics with illustrations by Kevin Hearn.
The title track "Snacktime" is now available on the music player. Be sure to tune in toward the end when celebrity hotline callers reveal their own favorite snacks.
