  Yes, I have met Ben E. King on a few occasions, and he was definitely a true gentleman in every respect. I couldn't agree with you more, Misty. There aren't many people like Ben E. in music. Ben E. was considering recording one of my songs at one point. Unfortunately, it just didn't happen. I tried releasing my own cd, and lost my shirt (I did sell 78 copies of which I donated all sales to earthquake victims). Still, Ben E. was a very positive and kind person. I will always remember him as such. Hope he will make it back to Japan someday....There is an A'cappella band out of Brooklyn that wants to cover the song Ben E.'s producer passed on. That would be fun! But as music has left me with nothing with debts, I think for now I've got to focus on taking care of the family. "Stand by Me" will always be a classic...but Ben E. has such a "magic feeling" with everything he does. Peace & Respect, Andrew

  I've been a fan for years. Got the chance to meet Mr. King once and he was the nicest guy. Wish he would tour more.

  Has anybody got a hatred for Sean Kingston... Thats what makes me cry at "Stand By Me" the fact that hes ripped it off. I could go on but there are no words that can sum up how annoyed I am and how much I hate that damn "Beautiful Girls" song.

  Stand By Me is one of my all time favorite songs. It's the song that my fiance and I are dancing to at our wedding for our first dance. I couldn't think of a better song. Absolutely love it. Absolutely timeless.
