Love these guys. This band has a completely different taste from Apocalyptica, and that's what I like! Most of Apocalyptica's songs all sound the same, but Break of Reality provides a wide range.

They played live at my school. It was amazing! I play the violin and love it but the things they do on their cellos is unbelievable! Makes me almost wish I had picked up a cello instead

We saw them live in Rochester on their recent visit and they were amazing! Even inspired my little cellist to practice more. ;)

I love Break of Reality! I just haven't seen them live... I will though...when I get back to New York.
βIt was a Hendrix-like moment, and speaks volumes about what can be done with a bow and a cello.β - Sacramento Bee Newspaper concert review
Break of Reality is a cello quartet gone mad.
Their sound is cinematic, subdued and heavy all at once. Their live audiences are equally diverse; fans of Led Zeppelin, Radiohead, and Yo Yo Ma are finally getting acquainted.
Break of Reality has performed in every type of venue, from popular New York City clubs such as Joe's Pub and the Knitting Factory, to esteemed classical music halls, such as the LaGuardia Performing Arts Center in New York and Kilbourn Hall at the Eastman School of Music.
In 2006, Break of Reality released an independent album, The Sound Between, which has sold over 20,000 copies in the United States and around the world. The band will tour to support their next album, due out in the summer of 2009.
In addition, the members of Break of Reality are committed to music education and have presented educational workshops and performances for elementary, middle, and high school music students throughout the country.
The members of Break of Reality have been applauded for their "thunders tone" and their "take no prisoner approach to cello playing" (Sacramento Bee Newspaper, June 2007). Their sound has been described as having "excitement, originality, and an undeniable intensity that louder, heavier bands only dream of. Break of Reality is going to win a Grammy someday. Bank on it.β (Rochester City News, April 2007).
