Dead City Riots (formerly Freeview) are a 4 piece grunge band from Scotland. Formed in 2001,the band began gigging in Glasgow,supporting Kasabian,Brigade,King Adora,The Ga-Ga's,The Miles Hunt Club and many more. Influenced by acts such as Pearl Jam,Soundgarden and Neil Young,their sound has been described as rock/grunge....but with punk elements. Dead City Riots have recorded two E.P's(on their own Chicken Physics label),both of which have received airplay on local and national radio,as well as "What's My Pill?" being reviewed in a national newspaper. They also feature on a new compilation album by Chromium Records,entitled "UK Unsigned Top 20." At present,the band are gigging constantly,and have just finished recording their debut album "Always Is Never The Same",which should be released in June 2006.
