  Dinah is incredible...when my husband and I got married last June our wedding song was Dinah singing "come rain or come shine" She does the best version of it hands down...

  I am a HUGE Dinah Washington fan. My favorite story is when they were trying to get her to resign her contract and when the lackey came in with a box - she screamed every obscenity in the book at him and told him she wasn't going to sign any bleep bleep contract. Then, when he opened the box to reveal a sable, she said - OK where's the bleep bleep contract! Still, she had a very sad life.

  Dinah is just so inspiring. Her voice is supreme. I saw a play about her life in Hollywood a few years back by this cat who knew her - damn that was some intense living she did.
