  Saw him last at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival's opening dinner gala, he got the whole ballroom second line-ing before the salads hit the tables. Ain't no Hougon like the Night Tripper!

  I saw Dr. John many Friday night at the Lone Star Roadhouse in NYC! Ah, a cold beer with a plate of fried calamari and Dr. John's raspy voice and mastery of the keys.....priceless! One night I held the door for a dark figure coming down the block and it was The NIght Tripper himself. I got one of his highly stylized autographs.

  Dr. John rocks. I've seen him playing at The House Of Blues, New Orleans and at The Carling Apollo, London. Excellent stuff!

  Dr John is pure class. Got into him through Humble Pie / Small Faces man Steve Marriott, cover on live at the Fillmore of I walk On Gilded Splinters I think. Also Paul Weller, I'm a big fan of, was on two tracks from Anthena Zone LP which was pretty good stuff. Gris Gris Album was my first sample of John Gris
