    Liszt and Paganini were good friends and they were both virtuosos at their instuments. Liszt compsed 6 Etudes for piano (called The Paganini Etudes) which were originally written by Paganini for the violin.

    i cannot sate for sure for I am not a pianist, but as I heard there are many variations...I believe that liszt variated paganinis themes, as usual in the given era . it was a practise then, like dj mix nowadays ;)

    Ok? What is this? Paganini wrote the La Campanella its the 3rd mvt. to his second Violin Concerto and Saint-Seans wrote the Danse Macabre? Yeah the maybe paino reductions but Liszt didnt compose those.
