Hor-hay, my wife was first attracted to me in college because she heard me listening to your CD on my discman. We have since seen you 6-7x across the US (the best was in Newburyport!) and our love for your music is being passed to our new son. December is a seasonal staple but Autumn is one of those rare albums that causes me to remember my childhood and to contemplate all that is right with my life (perhaps b/c I am a traditional New England boy living in the plastic Orlando area). To George:
When I was a little girl, my mother would play a tape of the story of The Velveteen Rabbit narrated by Meryl Streep with your songs playing in the background to put me to sleep every night. Your songs filled my dreams and lifted my imagination, and my childhood, in memory, was as beautiful and as haunting and magical as your music. I was lucky enough a few years ago to see you in concert in my hometown at Blackfriars Playhouse, and I look forward to hearing you play in concert again.
