Get Licious is pleased to announce that their full length debut will be released in conjunction with Groovetree Recording in early 2006.
Get Licious consists of an ex-punk drummer from LA, a funked-up bass virtuoso from Minneapolis, a pure rock guitarist/class clown from Chicago, and a hip-hop/reggae influenced frontman from Baltimore & Brooklyn. Within the last year and a half, these four performers have formed Voltron-style to become one of southern California's most refreshing new villain crushers.
Watch your feet because names are about to drop, son.
Touted as a "recommended event" by Timeout NY Magazine Get Licious is described as "a ghetto fabulous good time". They have performed with such notables as Jonny Lives! (debuting on Long Live Crime Records), Ty Stone (currently recording with Kid Rock), and J Records golden boy Gavin DeGraw (whose debut album Chariot recently went platinum and whose single "I Don't Wanna Be" recently went #1.)
The LA Times writes, "(this)...act, that has shared stages with Kelis and comedian Dave Chapelle, among others, combines elements of funk, rock, reggae, and hip-hop."
Flavorpill LA writes, "Their inventive storytelling, humor, and thoroughly danceable style has already won them a fiercely loyal left-coast audience."
Music Connection Magazine writes, "...musically it's challenging... the skill level in the group is high. The players are all top-notch and perform well together...(but) one gets the feeling that Get Licious is a group of naughty little boys trying to impress everyone with their scathing wit..."
