Green Means Go combines the musical styles of ska, rock, pop, funk, reggae and punk to come up with a sound that can only be described as unique. Green Means Go strives for originality and creativity, putting new twists on classic hits, as well as rolling out with tons of high-energy originals. Green Means Go is both serious and fun, restrained and rebellious, artistic and trashy. The most important thing, however is Green Means Go’s dedication to having a good time and to sharing those good times with its fans. Green Means Go was formed in December and 1999 by 5 Northwestern University students. In a short period of time, they have established themselves as one of the premier bands on the Northwestern campus and have recently begun branching out to a larger Chicago audience, playing regularly at venues such as Magoo’s Underground Lounge and other similar locales.
