Oct 06, 01:07 PMsaw him in 82 with Steve Goodman and again in 2005 both times in Vancouver and he was phenomenal, he just keeps gettin better all the time...you could hear a pin drop the audience is listening so intensely, other times they are all singin along word to word.....if you havent ever seen him live ...you need to! I grew up with a local musician friend who sang his songs and I thank him for introducing his music to me...my teens love his lyrics too....he is one of the best....always.... -

Jul 24, 07:31 PMMy Dad raised me on John Prine, and my choice in career had a lot to do with the song "Hello in There". Best of all, we were lucky enough to meet him randomly in a hotel elevator in Birmingham, and he was absolutely the nicest, most gracious man. Gave us backstage passes and we got our picture with him and everything. Most people at his level wouldn't bother. I'm an obnoxious fan, force all my friends to listen to him, and don't plan on stopping.

Jul 07, 04:15 PMNot enough words to express my admiration and appreciation of John and his music. I've seen him play in CA, AK, HI, & AZ. His musicians Jason Wilber and Dave Jacques both have our iNCREDIBLE eARS custom-fitted personal music monitors. My all-time favorite track (live, recorded, audio, or video) is the version of Lake Marie that's on the Sessions DVD. It's as close to "perfect" as any song can be!

Jun 17, 07:27 PMI saw his show in Montgomery, Alabama, recently. It was incredible! It was a little cheesy that the crowd sang along in force with "Angel from Montgomery," but I guess I understand why.
