KELLIE PICKLER RETURNS TO THE “AMERICAN IDOL” STAGE

KELLIE PICKLER RETURNS TO THE “AMERICAN IDOL”

STAGE TO PERFORM WEDNESDAY, MARCH 19, ON FOX

NASHVILLE, TN -- Kellie Pickler will return to the AMERICAN IDOL stage, to perform her hit single, “Red High Heels,” which she co-wrote, on the results show Wednesday, March 19 (9:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX.

On her return to American Idol Kellie said, “It’s kind of like a homecoming and I’m so excited to see everybody and see the new stage and set.”

“Red High Heels,” her debut single from her Gold plus certified debut album, Small Town Girl, is the sassy ode to her favorite subject, shoes, and kicking a cheating boyfriend to curb the curb in them. Her album has also yielded the hits, “I Wonder,” the poignant tune about her mother and her current and top 20 song, “Things That Never Cross A Man’s Mind.”

    ACM Nomination!

KELLIE PICKLER NOMINATED FOR TOP NEW FEMALE VOCALIST BY THE ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC

In response to her ACM nomination for Top New Female Vocalist, Kellie Pickler said, “This is really awesome. A few years ago when I was a roller skating waitress at Sonic I was never nominated as employee of the month but maybe that was because I spilled a lot of the food on the cars. Now I’m doing what I love and to get recognized for it is even more special.”

Kellie’s current top 20 single, “Things That Never Cross A Man’s Mind,” is the third hit single from her debut and Gold certified Small Town Girl. The album has already yielded the hits “I Wonder,” an autobiographical song about growing up without her mother, as well as the sassy first single, “Red High Heels,” both of which Kellie co-wrote.

Kellie has spent the first part of 2008 on tour with Rascal Flatts which ends for her this weekend after shows in Salt Lake City and Las Vegas. She’s also been writing and recording music for her sophomore.
