There are some awesome pictures on Flickr of Liz's two NYC shows. I am so jealous. I love Exile in Guyville and the Hiro Ballroom looks like a really intimate venue--perfect to see such a special show! I could have gone for $45, but by the time my Craigslist person called, I had committed to something else. ARGH!

So, does anyone have an extra ticket for either of the Hiro Ballroom shows they'd like to sell me, for face value, or beers?

OMG. Awesome show tonight at the Fillmore in San Francisco! I was standing front row, to her right. Incredible encore.

Today's news is that Liz Phair has signed on with ATO records and they will reissue Exile In Guyville on June 24, 2008. This Guyville Redux will include 4 additional songs including Ant In Alaska and Wild Thing. Both of those songs were on the Girly Sound tapes. The package is also to include a DVD with interviews of John Cusack, amongst others.
If that isn't exciting enough for you, there will be a new Liz Phair album out this fall also on ATO Records.

I was bummed out that they eliminated the fan page for Liz Phair, but it really appears that they combined it with the iLike page and then got rid of the redundant fan page. They did that for a number of other artists.

EMI lays off 2000 employees and Entertainment Weekly reported recently that Capitol Records has dropped Liz Phair.
I'm hoping that Liz bounces back with an independent label.
