Comprised of five longtime friends and offering a sound deeply rooted in the early punk and new wave scenes, Melt is a unique addition to the Michigan music scene. Given the band’s ability to write instantly memorable pop hooks, Heather's alternately haunting and ferocious voice and Sam's scathing guitar, it is no surprise that Melt has inspired fans and critics alike to draw comparisons to Blondie, Concrete Blonde and The Pretenders. Melt has received a warm reception thus far, performing at various clubs around Michigan, as well as on WIDR FM, in Kalamazoo. In addition, the band has been selected to perform at such high profile events as the Ann Arbor Art Fair, the Turtle Lake Resort Nude Fest and Western Michigan University's Bronco Bash.
