Milo the Mayor

In early to mid-2005, after the break up of their former hardcore band, Dan Munson (Keyboard/Guitar/Vocals) and Addison Ong (Guitar/Vocals) got together to form an experimental band. Originally under the name “Keytar Attack!”, Dan and Addison formed the band in 2005 and performed as a two-piece with the aid of a drum machine. Skipping ahead to the spring of 2006, they felt the need to have real drums and a bassist for more dynamics and to perform live shows, so Dallas Baker (Bass) and Brian I. (Drums) stepped in to fill the void and to complete the band. As the band was complete with new members and a new, fuller sound, they decided that “Keytar Attack!” didn’t suit them anymore, so in the fall of 2006, as the band was getting ready to book and perform their first full band show at The Brickhouse in Downtown Phoenix, they decided to change their name to Milo the Mayor, named after a character in the novel Catch 22 “Lieutenant Milo Minderbinder”.
