Michael Bell, a.k.a. NumberOneWorld, began his career over 20 years ago. In various configurations he has performed both jazz and pop music all of his adult life. As a busker he traveled Canada coast to coast. As a glam rock performer, he fronted Toronto sensations EyeEye during the mid eighties, winning Toronto's rock radio Talent Search. As an actor, he preformed the songs of David Bowie, incorporating mutli media and wardrobe. By the end of the 80's, he came off the road to write and demo a wealth of new tunes, raise a family and for 13 years published a regional music/society magazine 'The Wire Megazine'. Musically, he gathered a variety of musicians around him and began performing live, in support of some of Canada's hottest pop/rock performers including Amanda Marshall, Kim Mitchell, 54-40, Colin James, Matthew Good and dozens more.... As a promoter, he also pioneered his home town's first homegrown contests, showcases and CDs. He also promoted a number of major music festivals, including the Amnesty International Freedom Fest in 1998. Of late, Michael has founded a web based company with international affilaites and continues to write and record his music and message. Well versed in both the artistic, performance and business sides of the music industry Mb is ready to emerge as one of the clever new personalities of the internet.
