Opinion was founded in Summer 2005 by Sebastian Schroeder (guitar), Matthias Schink (bass), Tim Dueckers (guitar), Stefan Rutkowski (drums), Christian Kaiser (vocals) and Lukas Niessen (vocals and saxophone).
After differences between the members the two singers quit the band one after the other and the left members searched for a new vocalist, who they eventually found in Johannes Bruckes in January 2008.
