  im a pianist and recently picked up a copy of his "Etudes for the Piano," and just cant stop playing them. I couldnt find alot of information about the tracks until i downloaded the album and extensive liner notes from this new site called hdtracks.com. not only was it like having the cd, but the sound quality was far superior to the regular crappy mp4 file you get when you d.l. a song on itunes. i really reccomend the site.

  I actually prefer his Ensemble works to his movie soundtracks. Referring to Music with changing parts, Music in twelve parts, 1000 airplanes on the roof (which actually is a music drama but performed by the ensemble), and his Opera works, Einstein on the beach and Akhnaten.

  I'll never forget him plus his ensemble play the soundtrack to Koyaaniskatsi film live to the film on a big screen in Boston's Orpheum theater. It was moving, fastastic and precise and far exceeded the experience of watching my DVD at home or going to a normal concert.

  i only discovered philip glass recently, was a big michael nyman fan and found him through links on itunes. so glad i did, philip glass's music is haunting, i could listen forever

  Phillip Glass has always been one of my favorite composers and I think he did an excellent job with music the hours and Illusionist movie... I always listening solo piano...
