EBM/synth act RBN comprise of Steve Weeks, perhaps better known as the longest serving DJ at Londons famous Slimelight Club, long time musical collaborator Bryon Adamson. Together they form the current writing team of RBN. For live performances they were joined in August 2006 by Phil Eaton on keyboards, who will also contribute to composition on the 2nd album.
RBN are currently working on their full length album, City Lights, with production duties to be confirmed soon. All the songs have been written, and recording is due to complete by the end of October 2007.
The band recently supported Assemblage 23 at the sold out show in the Slimelight club, London in August 2007.
RBN also supported Rotersand in London in November 2006, as well as Pride And Fall and Covenant on a series of dates on the May 2006 UK "Skyshaper" tour, with the London show at the Islington Academy due a special mention for it's amazing atmosphere: packed out for all 3 bands, and an absolutely stunning show from start to finish.
Other gigs in 2006 included Turin, Italy; Dark City, Edinburgh (supporting Combichrist, Psyche, Controlled Collapse and Insekt), and the Summer Darkness Festival, Netherlands, supporting VNV Nation, Frozen Plasma and Faderhead.
Currently available CDs are the FAITHLESS EP, released in June 2003, features remixes by Ronan Harris (VNV Nation) and Tom Shear (Assemblage 23). The version of Faithless mixed and produced by Ronan Harris appears to be considered by many to be one of the most accomplished remixes he has created.
With Faithless RBN became the first UK scene band since Mesh and VNV Nation to seriously dent the DAC (the German Alternative Charts), with the EP hitting the number 14 slot. At the same time RBN played at the Agra Halle at Leipzig WGT. Faithless also reached number 3 in the Side-line Magazine singles chart and featured on a large number of DJ play-lists around the world.
The Faithless EP track Schadenfreude appeared on a cover CD of Sonic Seducer, and the video to this track was released on the German Crazy Clips DVD Volume 4.
The band have appeared alongside many acts from the scene including Covenant, Decoded Feedback, VNV Nation, Combichrist, Rotersand, Assemblage 23, Neuroticfish, Mesh, Psyche, Deine Lakaein, Frozen Plasma, The Cruxshadows, Funker Vogt, Pride And Fall, XPQ21, and L'ame Immortelle.
