    Crow Jane is my favorite too. Skip James worked from time to time at my great grandfather's lumber mill in Bentonia, Mississippi. The plantation where he was born and spent his childhood is just down the road, and has been restored. Old blues players and all they endured absolutely amaze me.

    I love James' music, Roy, but the man was hardly influential. Nobody plays at all like him and he went largely forgotten for 30 years!
