After a needed winter hibernation, the Squirrel Nut Zippers are happy to announce that we are coming down from our tree and are ready to sing, dance and carry on for you. We promise to put on a show that will titillate and dazzle the mind. General misbehaving will be permitted. Toiling in our laboratory, conspiring to animate wooden feet, we have created a rich mixture of backwoods fatback and uptown champagne, which will surely bring to life even the most tired of pedal accouterments. Some say it happened in the judges chambers. Others say it happened behind closed doors. We say it never happened at all. We'll let you decide.

We heard that telegrams and carrier pigeons aren't as reliable as they used to be so we've finally decided it was time to invest in one of those new Internet machines. We think we're on our way to finding this world wide web place but it doesn't seem like much fun without our friends to keep us company. Are you planning on attending one of our east coast performances next week? If so, we'd like to have the opportunity to shake your hand and get to know you a little bit better. For each of our five shows we'd like to select two pairs of attendees to come visit with us backstage and mingle. We'd be honored to have our photograph taken with you, swap autographs and deliver a gift or two for you to take home.
