A Mexican indie rock band based in Mexico City. Their released their 1st album; Greatest Hits directed by Pablo Dávila. The band became famous when their song TV was used in a commercial of the cellphone company Telcel through summer of 2005. Their influences goes from Daft Punk to The Velvet Underground.

The group’s latest album, “CAMA,” reveals a stronger indie-rock influence than their previous record. With Nardiz Cooke on lead vocals and Monica Rodriguez on the drums, sweet electra is now based in New York City, with lyrics in Portuguese, French, English, and Spanish. Their influence goes from New Order to LCD soundystem.

cotheque is a made up name combining the words naco and discotheque. Naco in Mexico is a way to describe the Latin American hard-drinking, jalopy-tinkering working class – whom Americans would consider cheesy white trash." But in New York it's quite possibly the coolest Saturday nght party I've been to in a really long time.
