  Just rediscovered in my collection, TPE were one of my favourite bands when I was a teenager. In fact, I was at their last ever Dublin gig - an emotional rollercoaster it was too with most of the band and at least half the audience in tears by the end. What was most tragic is that they had to split up because they owed the record label too much money and Fergal Sharkey wouldn't do an Undertones festival tour so they could make some money to repay their advances.

  Ahead of their time maybe but I don't understand why That Petrol Emotion weren't huge in Britain. Listen to Sensitize, Big Decision, Hey Venus, Swamp, Abandon, Detonate My Dreams...they all still sound great. Wonderful live band too

  Hilariously inappropriately, End of the Millennium Psychosis Blues is listed in iTunes under the genre heading of Holidays, would you believe!!
