  The very first concert I ever saw when I was 8 years old was the Allman Brothers at World's Fair Park in Knoxville with my dad and I am so excited about seeing them again at Bonnaroo this year.

  I heard Gregg isn't coming to the Beacon because of his diabetes*. This is like the first time in like 30 years the allman's won't be there.

  i agree with matt..... i would also like to say that every one has their own style of playing and their own skills..... derek truck's could play with indian overtones and that shows at times.....and it is good but the fact remains that apart from being the greatest band ever, they are still the greatest band around.... and anyway the grateful dead broke up after jerrys death, but then we can't really ignore the fact that they had been around for a long time(almost 30 years).but still bob ...
