  I saw,at the time when the clash were split into two "clashes",the Joe strummer version,in the mid 80s'.Providence civic center.Joe(RIP)and Paul siminon autographed my shirt,and I gave Joe a button to wear,and he said thanks and put it on his lapel.Short guy.Same height as me.Paul was taller.It was quite a memory.Paul and his girlfriend were seen in my hometown of NewBedford,at one of the most seediest bars,having a beer and bog of chips,that day.I wish I still had the shirt....

  The Clash were the first punk rock band i loved, any other came because of The Clash, before them, I would only listen to Hard or Glam rock. When Joe Strummer died, I was in Tokyo, and my boyfriend Shigeyuki took me in front of a records'shop window full of "Joe Strummer died of Cancer" notes. He said "Please read" I said "The fascist NHS got rid of Joe Strummer".
