  THIS is why I fell in love with Rod and the Faces. That smarmy, lounge shit he's putting out today sucks big time. I've lost a lot of respect for him as a "rocker". I'd have rather seen him retire or die before resorting to the crap he's recording now. But then again, for as many divorces as he's been thru, I guess he has to do something to support all those fine looking ex-wives. Wish I could've seen the Faces back in the day.   1st live band i went to see back in the 70's - still the best band i have seen. still follow rod.

  i'm nineteen and i think they were the best two... everyone in this band went on to something great... these guys formed the back bone of classic proper rock and roll in a lot of ways... rod is still soooooooooooooo hot too.

  What can I say. I have been a Faces fan for what seem's like forever. Saw them in the 70's at the Sundown. Edmonton. London. Amazing concert !! There was a right up in the NME the next week saying that it was a miracle the balcony did'nt collapse. I remember that well. I was near the front and when I looked up saw the balcony moving up & down (a lot) where everyone was going mad for the music. They were playing Memphis as their encore, crazy. That was a time when you could take a drink in with you & I remember someone passing me a bottle of whiskey from down the line. The lads were having a good old drink themselves, of course !! Ronnie Lane & Kenny Jones where born just up the road from where I lived. They have played a big part in my life. I miss the lads but their raunchy, good time music will always stir something in me. A brilliant band who certainly new how to enjoy themselves to the full. Thanks Faces for so many good times !!!

  Consider what these five musicians have accomplished since then... Rod Stewart - nuff said Ron Wood - Rolling Stones (30 yrs and counting!) Kenny Jones - replaced Keith Moon in The Who Ian McLagan - toured w/The Stones, still making music Ronnie Lane (RIP) - continued making fine music, established ARMS Favorite song? Hard to say. Stay With Me is a rock classic. Others I like include Miss Judy's Farm, Flying, Ooh La La, Memphis, Borstal Boys, Had Me A Real Good Time... Wish I could ... More...
