    Jeff, do us all a favor and don't assume that you are the only person who has ever come close to understanding woody guthrie. i imagine if woody could read your post he would probably think you were a pompous idiot who is under the delusion that he is better than other people. woody writes songs to the common man, the lyrics are not complex, the message is.     None of you have the slightest idea of what Woody stood for or what he sang about for that matter. Listen to Vigilante Man, The Dying Miner, or Jesus Christ. It was his purpose more than his voice that empowered people, but this is facebook so I shouldn't go too deep into this. You're all pathetic
