Truescribe was born in Brooklyn,NY and grew up in Hillsborough,NJ. He moved to SC to attend the University of South Carolina at Spartanburg in 1993 and has been in SC ever since. True has been writing off and on since he was about 11 years old when he heard the Beastie Boys "Liscensed to Ill" cassete along with Run-Dmc's "Raising Hell". He learned to make beats in December of 2003 and that's when he got serious about recording and produced and wrote his first album, "Multiple Personality Disorder" which is now available for online purchase. The album starts off with True having spoken dialogue with no other than the legendary Hannibal Lector whom diagnoses that True is suffering from M.P.D. The concept for the album is unique in that each of the first 8 songs are the opposite of the song before them. Alone the songs sound as if they are Truescribe's views but as you listen to the whole album you begin to understand that they are part of a perverse puzzle in the mind of the man who calls himself Truescribe. His flows and subject matter range from dead serious to completely zany. He has honed his skills lyrically and delivery wise but is still working on becoming a better producer every day. Perhaps the diversity of his album comes from being a northern MC trapped in a southern crunk-bling bling world. Prepare your ears for the lyrical and conceptual ride of a lifetime.
