In 1999 while MEDU-NETR, a hip-hop organization from Tulsa, Oklahoma, was on a promotional trip in Washington D.C., an old man by the name of the Gardner, bluntly asked the crew “What does MEDU-NETR mean?” Feeling confident in his answer KWRECK, producer and emcee for MEDU-NETR, answered, “It represents divine thought or pictures the mind creates, expressed in sounds or words. The Gardner smiled briefly as if he was surprised with the answer and replied, “That is a small fraction but it does not represent the full meaning. Metu Netjer, which is the Kemet (Egyptian) name for what Greeks called hieroglyphics, is similar to a whole pizza pie. Within this pizza every mentality exist.
