Well, I'm just another guy recording music in his bedroom... However, you may find it interesting that I propose that all the research going towards aids and cancer go towards the creation of new musical instruments for one day because happiness is proven to cure too, and a new instrument could cause much happiness. I think that formal vocal lessons can taint a voice by taking the creativity and individuality and pureness out of a voice. I think that a guitar should be in tune when played and especially recorded. My favorite period in the history of music is the romantic period?but it?s ok if that doesn?t mean anything at all to you. Creativity should be valued above technique because I get bored with pure technique. Technique does not equal how good something sounds, just something passed down from generation to generation. Pop is not bad; neither is popular music?it?s just that most people settle for music that?s not good because they don?t think about what they?re listening to. 61% of people would rather be happy and brain-dead than have a mind capable of critical thought--sad. Approximately 20% of the best bands are largely unknown by the public. 94% of the money grossed yearly in the music industry is made for the wrong reasons. 4% of rappers in the top 1000 have been shot or shot at, while only 1% of others can make this claim. Indies, emos, gangters, punks, goths, and the like can actually be more focused on image over music than Ashley Simpson. It?s better to be nice than mean. Everybody has a right to enjoy screaming, whining, complaining, rapping, sadness, happiness, off pitch voices, orchestras, heavy distortion, and polka as long as it?s intelligent or unique.
