More about me: Most played doesn't really tell you what I like...I get bored fast, and I'm always looking for new music. The top twelve show what has stood the test of time. I don't like Tori because she's emo - I like her innovative chord progressions, the way her style is continually evolving.
I like all sorts of genres...most of all I like it when a song goes in a direction I didn't predict. I like trancy things that evolve in layers. And I like weird, quirky lyrics - although sappy lyrics are OK if the music is interesting. I loathe what would be called "recitative" in the world of opera - when the verse vocal consists of unimaginative chanting between a few notes. Stop being so lazy - write a melody!
And I loathe major keys. Give me a minor seventh. Give me a song in 7/16. Impress me.
